My film started off as a story about a dead older sister and a little brother. For some reason each time I drew them as people it just didn't feel RIGHT. I even made model sheets for them as humans!(which will remain in the vault)!!
On the way to Ottawa, it finally clicked for me: FOXES! THEY NEED TO BE FOXES!

I wanted to make this more kid-friendly, and I wanted to make Emil cute and cuddly. These were some of the first sketches for them as foxes.

Ana quickly became Emil's mother. She needed to resemble a young mother who was also very comforting, so I could relate this film to children better. After I finally settled on designs for them, I quickly began making model sheets, drafting boards, writing the script, and painting visual concept boards.

(Bonus: I got to sit in on a Floyd Norman talk!)

Midterms are coming up, color concepts to come!
