First time Layouts?!

I started with a general sketch, then did a floor plan, then put it into ROUGH (don't kill me) perspective. I've worked on some color tests---

---personally, I love the third sepia-toned one best! It really gets at the emotions and uncomfort I felt in therapist offices. The other two tests are pretty valid still. I'll be getting into prop design in a week or so to finalize designs for what is shown on screen!

Here's how the kitchen looks in my mind! Ana is a young 20s mother so I feel like she'd decorate this house like the dorm she was never able to have. This house is also a gift from her grandma, so I wanted it to have an old, ugly feel. When I do call-outs, the cupboards are going to be an old worn wood that's softened over time; the utensils they use to bake will be that yellow-ivory stain that 80s/90s kitchenware is known for. I want the backgrounds for these moments to pop though, because this is Emil's fond memories. Of my kitchen at home, I remember the light always shining really bright on the ugly yellow walls and the brown tiles. I remember the old kitchenware my mom received as a wedding present nearly 40 years ago. I remember the bright, colorful walls in the surrounding rooms. I remember the cold ground on my feet. These are all things I want to have Emil and the viewer experience when watching my film.
