Finding A Book of Colors by Shigenobu Kobayashi (pub. 1984) has been so helpful! I came across it by mistake and boy does this book rock. I wasn't too happy with my colors I'd chosen, so I did some extensive research (to the library!).

I've learned a /bit/ of color theory in my classes at school, but I still felt like I needed practice. Vision: Color and Composition for Film by Hans Bacher and Sanatan Suryavanshi also helped me understand how to pair my own colors together to create tone and mood!

Kobayashi puts together swatches like these that definitely gave good example to the content I was learning from Bacher and Suryavanshi.

After reading about color scripts, I decided to begin working on my own! Then I worked it into ROUGH ROUGH ROUGH boards I kicked out just to see how it worked!

I'm happier with the colors of my film now! I highly recommend both books to everyone!
